Tried to upload this to dA as well but the new dA submit thing hates me forever so that didn't happen.
I really like the shirt I put on him and the colors are based on one of the new pair o' shoes I bought today. I should just make shirts for myself one day. Yes.

Darsecs outfit meme

Yeee it’s finally finished. Only did flats this time because of lazy reasons. I think I’m growing to like this style, I’ll probably use it some other time, in fact I think I might’ve used it before?

Oh well, I present to thee… the character clothing meme. The meme in which you take your characters name, get the meaning behind it and then put that into a web page with clothes sets and voila draw you character wearing that set. I wanted to do it like one year ago or so but never got around doing it so I had old sets (from when Darsec was just Darsec and didn’t have a real name) saved so I drew that one plus the new one + his zodiac. Also the bracelets on his ankle is indeed.. bracelets.. for your wrists. But I thought since the shirt is covering his wrists I'll just put them elsewhere so yeah.

Another thing is that this is pretty much three stages of Dardar; to the left is 16ish? Darsec, still with brown hair, sitting slightly behind him with his, although this time more vivid, "trademark" blue hair and tiny little beard around 19ish and then in the very back to the right, 22-23ish Darsec stuck on the bleached hair and a shaved side. And more beard.

This was actually pretty fun to make because I had no idea what to draw so I closed my eyes.. drew Darsec, right, and then stared att the catastophy and decided to sketch up and lineart something out of it. After that I tried the same thing with Teran next to him in the same size.. yeah that never happened he ended up being three times Dars' size instead BD He kind of looks like a DBZ reject. At least I got some interesting style out of it which I would've never tried otherwise.

Spirou & co finally finished after 2 years

Yeah after having neglected this drawing for about 2 years I thought it was time to finish the darn background!

So I did and it looks weird since I draw stuff differently now so the smooth (and lazy) background looks kind of out of place but oh well it's finished.

This was a part one after all maybe I'll post the other one with Asterix, Obelix, Tintin, Colin Colas, Billy the cat and of course more Spirou as well one day, but then the styles will probably fit since I only have the pencil sketch of that one so far.

Yus, progress art! Because I realized this'll take another 100 years to be finish. B)
It's actually a fanart this time, and I might do a "Part two" depending on how I feel like it with characters that didn't fit into this picture. It's some of the Franco-Belgian characters who I grew up with and still love today (:

They are, for those who don't know (or can't see durrhurr) from the left front to the back; Strongsmurf (No idea what you call him we call him Muskelsmurfen), Spip(de.Pips), Spirou(dk.Splint) & Fantasio (sv.Nicke), Gaston (next to him will be more smurfs together with Papasmurf(sv.Gammelsmurfen)), Johan & Pirlouit (sv. Pellevin. eng/de.Peewit) and at the very back is Lucky Luke supposed to be riding on his Jolly jumper and above him the Daltons (:
So! Here's how I do it, and how far I've come.

So first up is the starter sketch, and this looks like...wtf 8D
Even I would've gotten a tad lost if I drew the clean sketch later on.

The clean sketch looks much better!
But I've made a few changes on it later on Pirlouits legs for an example (he got too long the first time and here I just gave up XD) and stuff you can't see anymore.

This is how I did the lineart in this one, I did one character at a time.. in different colors! (See next)

Then it was time to try my luck at the grass.
I'm trying out a new way of coloring(BGs) since I've got a background for once.

And since it's a background...
I tired easily so I started doing something else on the drawing after I had drawn a couple of lines o grass.

I added some white behind the smurf, so the background wouldn't shine through at a later stage.
(I actually did this on a later stage but I should've done this first, at least before coloring)

Shadows, shadows shadows!
I might redo them though (they somehow look different than the others)

Probably going to fix with the colors later on though.

I thought it was finally time to add some shadows to the others as well.
Do note that Lucky Luke and the Daltons (as well as the other smurfs) will be painted like the background.

It looked kinda funky without the lines so I thought I'd throw it in here.
